Curtains and Blinds in Stoke Newington, London
Curtains and blinds · Stoke Newington, London
A Victorian house and a modern extension.
Curtains and blinds for both.
A Stoke Newington project, Manor Road, brought motorised blinds for the glass doors of a new extension together with handmade curtains and Duette blinds in the rooms upstairs.
Our showroom and design studio is at 83a Geffrye Street, Shoreditch, East London. We work with private clients and interior designers, and we make curtains and Roman blinds by hand in our own London workroom.
Based in East London
One of our projects: Manor Road
A renovated Victorian house with a modern rear extension
The large sliding doors of the extension needed shading, privacy and glare and heat reduction, so we fitted Silent Gliss roller blinds with remote-controlled motors.
Elsewhere in the house, handmade interlined curtains and Duette blinds bring softness and light control. We worked on both halves of the house so the two feel like one home.
What this project asked of the windows
- Shading and privacy behind large sliding doors
- Glare and heat control
- Reliable, remote-controlled operation
- A soft, traditional feel in the main bedroom
Room by room
A Victorian bedroom, a playful children's room, a glass living room
In the main bedroom, which is traditional with a modern twist, handmade interlined curtains give the soft feel of a Victorian house, and top-down Duette blinds add privacy and light control.
In the children's room, a playful fabric made up as a Roman blind brings the room to life. One house, three rooms, three different answers.

Common questions
Frequently asked questions
Do you work in Stoke Newington?
Yes. An example there is Manor Road, a renovated Victorian house with a modern rear extension. See it in the project above or in our case studies.
What blinds suit the large glass doors of a rear extension?
The priority decides it. At Manor Road, where sliding doors needed shading, privacy, glare and heat reduction, we used motorised Silent Gliss roller blinds. Where blackout is the priority, we may recommend Duette blinds instead. We advise at the visit once we have seen the room.
What suits a traditional bedroom in a renovated house?
At Manor Road, handmade interlined curtains give the soft feel of a Victorian house, and top-down Duette blinds add privacy and light control. We choose room by room, so a children's room or a living room can each have a different answer.
Which fabric houses can I choose from?
Our fabric library holds Kvadrat, Romo, Dedar, Casamance and many other houses. We can work with fabric from almost any house, and you can see the collections at the Shoreditch showroom.
Is there a KOZA curtain shop in Stoke Newington?
No. Our showroom and design studio is in Shoreditch, East London, by appointment. For Stoke Newington homes we visit you for the Measurement and Consultation visit.
