Blinds that rise and fall together
This Barbican penthouse has windows of exceptional height. We installed Silent Gliss XL motorised roller blinds, coupled so that they rise and fall together across the full height of the glazing.
Large sheer curtains in high-performance textiles soften the main space, the bedrooms have handmade interlined blackout curtains, and a motorised Roman blind system completes the scheme.

From the City and Barbican to our Shoreditch showroom
Our showroom and design studio is at 83a Geffrye Street, Shoreditch, London E2 8JA, in East London. Visits are by appointment so that fabrics and samples are ready for you.
For the Measurement and Consultation visit we come to your home or office. A member of our team visits your home or site, looks at each window with you, discusses fabrics, linings, headings and how each treatment will operate, checks fixings and any ceiling or recess details, and takes the measurements we make to. The visit covers London and the surrounding area.

Do you supply curtains and blinds for Barbican flats?
Yes. A Barbican project used motorised roller blinds, sheer curtains, blackout curtains and a motorised Roman blind system. Every home is different, so we look at your windows at the Measurement and Consultation visit before recommending anything.
Can very tall windows have motorised blinds?
Yes. In the Barbican penthouse we coupled motorised roller blinds so that they rise and fall together across the full height. At that height motorisation needs power and control planned early, so involve your electrician or AV integrator from the start.
Can you work in a building with a managing agent and restricted access?
Yes. We manage the works ourselves, from site survey to installation. Please find out the building's access, lift and working-hour rules from your managing agent and tell us when you book, so installation can be planned around them.
Should I choose curtains or blinds for floor-to-ceiling glazing?
Often both. Blinds control glare and heat, sheer curtains soften the glass and filter light, and lined curtains darken the bedrooms. The mix depends on the room, and we advise at the visit.
